I Was Born at the Wrong Time

I once asked my parents what it was like to live in the Sweet Sixties. What a stupid couple they were then - they preferred giving birth to my big brother to enjoying the flower power time. Had I been one of them, I would have put some flowers in my hair and joined a group of hippies.

My life would then have been filled with parties and great entertainment, but the most important thing would have been love and friends. I would have hitch-hiked around the world with some others of my kind. We would have belonged together like a family and never betrayed each other's trust.

Quite naturally, we would have been on drugs. Frankly, I cannot help seeing the drug culture as a positive part of the flower power culture. Drugs were an important ingredient in tripping people high, they provided a bliss I will never experience. Fortunately, only soft drugs such as marijuana were used.

Living in the 21st century, I quench my thirst for the only happy era by listening to music straight from the Sixties. And one day I may be anventurous enough to adopt the hippie style of life...
